Oserian; place of peace

The Sanctuary

Oserian has been committed to the protection, preservation and careful management of natural resources and the environment by carefully managing both the 18,000 acre wild habitat of the Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary and the 3,000 acre Wildlife corridor.

The sanctuary lies on the shores of Lake Oloidien (meaning “salty water” in Maasai); a Crater Lake that was once part of the expansive Lake Naivasha and bordered by the Rift Valley’s Mau Escarpment and Hells Gate National Park.

The Oserian Game corridor is one of the last remaining of its kind, allowing free passage of game from both Longonot and Hells Gate National Parks access to the lake and pastures beyond.
